Controversial Movie of the Time: The Kashmir Files

Before writing anything about the movie, I am hereby declaring that I am not reviewing the movie as I am not the expert. But I have my own view of this movie, which I am going to share with you. This is one of the most controversial movies of the time “The Kashmir Files”. According to the people, it is not just a movie but a documentary about the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits.

Why you should watch this movie?

The movie shows the attitude of the ruling government at that time and how article 370 help the rioters and groups of terrorists. It is showing the truth of that time. Also, watch this movie because it shows how you can be expelled from your own state. I don’t know why the people did not retaliate at that time or they might be expecting help from the government of India. But Kashmiri pandits were in majority but after the genocide, it becomes a minority for the same state. If you want to see the pain, grief, and truth then you must watch this movie.

Political Views

This movie certainly appeals to the one-party the most and their follower as well. State where it was led by BJP government, the movie is Tax-Free. Anyhow, I feel that it is the right thing to do so that more and more people go to the theater and watch this masterpiece.

Problems in releasing this Movie

I have gone through so many small and large interviews with the director. From the short interview of 10 minutes to 1 hour and 41 minutes on Youtube. If anyone has doubt that this has an angle of communal hatred and didn’t saw this movie yet, then I must recommend, checking the interviews of the director Mr. Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. You can understand the situation where the movie was first released in the US and later on in India and still didn’t get the rich at first. But the content drives it and you can see how it resonates.

People Arguments and My take on that

People saying and writing that it will create communal hatred and violence. But this movie already shows that it already happened with one of the community. We can just share our views, but the pain and grief were felt by them are unbearable. Why people are unable to understand the pain and don’t want to speak about it. I thought about the partition where both Hindus and Muslims were part of communal violence and we are okay with that but in the time of Kashmiri Pandits there is only one community that did all the violence and that was Muslims. If Muslims want to be recognized and want to show some stand then first they must accept this truth that whatever happens is truth. I feel this is the way they show some respect and everyone should watch this movie.
